Winston Churchill Travelling Fellowships – deadline 23 September 2014

Applications are now open for 2015 Churchill Travelling Fellowships with designated opportunities for people working with the arts to create opportunities for older people.

Individuals who provide community activities and opportunities for older people covering creativity and person-centred care from across the art forms and including music, dance, drama and the fine arts are welcome to apply. A total of 150 Travelling Fellowships are available.

This is the fourth and final year of a joint Arts & Older People / Creative Ageing partnership with the Baring Foundation. The Trust awards travel grants to men and women who will be able to undertake research overseas and on their return disseminate their new knowledge and examples of best practice. Applicants must demonstrate that their project will have a wider benefit within their community or field, in addition to their own personal development. Your grant will cover return and internal travelling, daily living and insurance within the countries visited. Each individual grant is calculated on the project, destination(s) to be visited and the duration of the Fellowship, which is approximately 6 weeks. Application deadline: 5pm on 23rd September 2014.
