Two significant new dance and health initiatives

People Dancing has launched two new programmes: 11 Million Reasons to Dance will inclusively support and celebrate everyone who engages in dance, with a particular emphasis on Deaf, sight impaired and disabled dancers; and its new strategic collaboration with One Dance UK will develop a framework to tackle inactivity with UK leaders in dance and health.

People Dancing has come together with arts partners across the Midlands and north of England, supported by Unlimited Impact and Arts Council England to create 11 Million Reasons to Dance, inspired by the 11 Million Reasons to Dance photography exhibition and short film programme, currently on tour, featuring Sean Goldthorpe’s commissioned images of iconic dance moments from film, all reimagined by Deaf, sight impaired and disabled dancers.
