Sing to Beat Parkinson's training, Derby – 3 November 2018

This Sing to Beat Parkinson's course offers an opportunity for musicians and emerging artists to develop specialist knowledge to run a singing group for people with Parkinson’s and associated conditions, as well as their carers and family members.

The course will be led by:

  • Grenville Hancox (Honorary Professor in Music, Health and Well Being, University of Kent; Artistic Director, Canterbury Cantata Trust Founder and expert in singing and wellbeing)
  • Nicola Wydenbach (an experienced Parkinson’s and Singing practitioner and Founder of the Contented Music Club)
  • Trish Vella-Burrows, Director of Research at STBP, Assistant Director of the Sidney De Haan Research Centre for Arts and Health and an experienced Singing for Health practitioner
  • Yoon Irons, Senior Research Fellow, Arts and Health Centre of Excellence, College of Health and Social Care, University of Derby.
