Art in Prisons: a literature review of the philosophies and impacts of visual art programs for correctional populations
This review was commissioned by Arts Access Australia to examine evidence for the value of visual arts programs in Australian prisons and their impact on adult inmates. It considers current philosophies behind art programs, how they are implemented and how ‘success’ is measured, and includes an annotated bibliography of relevant literature.

Launch of MyHealthlondon
The Myhealth-London website was launched on 8 December 2011. This web-based service aims to provide healthcare professionals and patients with opportunities to engage with each other, compare services and standards, and to carry out healthcare transactions on-line.

Podcasts of National | Dialogue Arts + Health, Ireland
National | Dialogue Arts + Health was a one-day event that took place in RUA RED, Tallaght, Dublin on Tuesday 6 December 2011. It aimed to explore shared outlooks for arts and health practice in Ireland. Podcasts of the event are now available .
Improving the experience of care for people using adult NHS mental health services
NICE have published clinical guidance offering evidence-based advice on ensuring a good experience of care for people who use adult NHS mental health services.
A quality standard has also been published, describing high-quality care for adults using mental health services in the NHS in England.
Any Qualified Provider Map of Services
An online interactive map has been published outlining the services that will be opened up to Any Qualified Provider (AQP) from April 2012. It will allow patients, commissioners and providers to see the local health services where there will be a choice of provider for patients.

New online arts and health library and website, Greater Manchester Arts Health Network
The new Greater Manchester Arts Health website has been developed as a useful information portal and one stop shop for information, documents and news about arts, health and wellbeing for professionals working across the sectors.
Arts Council England publishes guidance on Internships
Arts Council England and Creative & Cultural Skills have published Internships in the arts - a guide for arts organisations.
The guide offers advice on how to develop high-quality and mutually beneficial employment opportunities, and sets out the legal obligations for arts and cultural organisations offering internships.
