New Podcast: Comics & Medicine in the Mainstream

Two presentations from the Comics & Medicine conference which took place in Toronto in 2012 are now available as podcasts. Three speakers in two presentations address medically-relevant themes as they have appeared in mainstream media comics.

1. “Facing” illness: what the “funnies” can teach us about caregiver role, response, and needs - Sarah Russe and Judith Kaplan-Weinger

2. Fertility, Domestic Abuse and Mammograms: Three Story Lines in the syndicated newspaper comic strip, “Between Friends” - Sandra Bell-Lundy
