Impact of economic downturn and policy changes on health inequalities in London report

University College London Institute of Health Equity has published 'The impact of the economic downturn and policy changes on health inequalities in London’ which was commissioned by the London Health Inequalities Network. The report focuses on the employment, income and housing impacts of the recent government policy changes. It also includes a number of recommendations on what actions local councils and other policy makers can take to reduce the negative impacts of the changes.

It has been suggested that London’s voluntary & community sector (VCS) could utilise this research to strengthen their evidence base when lobbying local authorities, other policy makers and commissioners.
