Research Assistant – deadline 25 June 2015

UCL Public and Cultural Engagement is seeking a Research Assistant to support the establishment of a new National Alliance for Museums, Health and Wellbeing.

This new network will share information about museums and health, improve best practice, help build resilience and provide resources and support for those individuals and organisations working in this area of activity. By working closely in partnership with the National Alliance for Arts, Health and Wellbeing, the Museums Alliance will connect museums to the wider cultural sphere including arts and community organisations and libraries, as well as the breadth of health and social care organisations.

The 9 month project will include a series of activities to set up and launch the Alliance; raise sector awareness; gather and disseminate relevant resources and share good practice. The post is funded by a grant from Arts Council England for 9 months in the first instance, with possibility of extension pending future funding.

The postholder will have research skills, with the ability to analyse data and to present complex information effectively to a range of audiences. Along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, they will have experience of collecting, analysing or interpreting qualitative data and of publishing and disseminating high impact research outputs.
