Freelance Music Practitioners – deadline 16 February 2018

Hereford’s Courtyard Centre for the Arts is looking to recruit four music practitioners to deliver a new Creative Ageing project.

Successful candidates will be provided with an expert mentor, receive initial training and have the opportunity to shadow a mentor, enabling them to develop how they use their practice to facilitate workshops for older people in a variety of care settings.

After a number of conferences on the subject of the differences and similarities between the practices of arts in health and arts therapies, "Creative Arts Therapies and Arts in Health: Current Training Provisions and Future Challenges" will explore the differences in training between the two approaches.

National Alliance for Museums Health and Wellbeing training – from 26 May 2017

Two-day, free training workshops on "Museums as spaces for wellbeing", in six regions across England, designed for museum staff or volunteers who are interested in developing and delivering health and wellbeing work in their organisations.

TAnDem Arts and Dementia Conference, Worcestershire – 21 September 2017

The one-day conference is a collaboration between the doctoral training centre for the arts and dementia at the University of Worcester, University of Nottingham, and the Alzheimer's Society.

Confirmed practitioner-led workshops:

Kate Duncan and Claire Ford will demonstrate the Armchair Gallery, which inspires the viewing, appreciation and production of artworks through a series of workshops led by professional artists, using digital technology.

Call for entries, Here and Now exhibition, Nottingham – deadline 3 April 2017

The City Arts exhibition will be held at the Institute of Mental Health, Nottingham, between May and September.

City Arts say: “Our reality is a succession of unique moments, each moment impacting on our well-being.  Our annual exhibition at the Institute of Mental Health is an opportunity for artists to express through art how they are experiencing and reacting to each of those moments”.

Art work must be delivered by 26 April 2017.

Awkward Bastards symposium on disability and inclusion, Birmingham – 22 and 23 March 2017
