Access Workers – deadline 13 December 2015

Extant, a professional performing arts company of visually impaired artists, is seeking to extend its pool of access workers available to the company for regular casual work and to support several new projects taking place in the London, Birmingham and Manchester areas.

Duties will be access for blind and partially sighted artists and participants. This could include:

Wellbeing Recovery Worker – deadline 23 October 2015

Birkenhead-based creative arts organisation Spider Project is looking for someone to provide wellbeing recovery support to clients to enable ongoing abstinent recovery.

The wellbeing recovery worker will support the ongoing development and abstinent recovery of individuals attending Spider Project, developing and delivering recovery focussed workshops that will help educate and inspire service users to explore and engage with the resources of the wider community.

Salary: £21,500 - £24,727 (negotiable and depending on experience)

The Art of Social Prescribing – 17 September 2015

The Cultural Commissioning Programme is hosting a one day conference to explore the latest academic and applied research with particular reference to the role that arts and cultural activities play in social prescribing.

The free Liverpool conference will include a range of interactive workshops will introduce established arts and cultural programmes, highlighting good practice approaches in mental health and wellbeing and encouraging debate on how to most effectively commission, fund and evaluate social prescribing schemes.

Arts and Health Development Officer – deadline 22 July 2015

Blackpool Council is recruiting a part time maternity cover post to initiate, plan and manage the delivery of the Council’s Arts for Health Programme.

The programme is targeted at people with mild to moderate mental health problems, and aims to improve wellbeing, by offering high quality creative workshops that are stimulating and supportive. The effective management and supervision of freelance sessional artists is crucial to the smooth running of the programme and the participant`s experience of Arts for Health.
