Creative Dementia Arts Network conference, Sheffield – 27 June 2017

Museums for Health & Wellbeing conference – 6 March 2017

The National Alliance for Museums, Health and Wellbeing is holding its second conference at the Thackray Medical Museum in Leeds. The programme will feature speakers from the health, social care and museum sectors who will explore the contribution museums can make to health and wellbeing from a range of different perspectives.

The day will offer opportunities for networking and sharing information about museum and wellbeing activities. Delegates can also take part in a range of interactive case study activities in the afternoon.

National Alliance for Arts in Criminal Justice annual conference, York – 5 October 2016

This year’s NAACJ annual conference is ‘Arts, culture and innovation in criminal justice settings: improving outcomes in a new policy landscape’; it will include the launch of a new guide for commissioning arts projects in criminal justice settings in response to the Coates Review and the Culture White Paper. The conference and publication will highlight the unique role of the arts in supporting rehabilitation, including how arts can support safe and secure prisons and improve outcomes for offenders across the prison estate and in the community.

Freelance Artists, Arts and Wellbeing, High Peak Community Arts – deadline 14 April 2016

Project eARTh (Environmental Art and Health) is for adults experiencing mental distress or other long term conditions or physical impairments; it is looking for ideas for its existing art groups for the next 3 to 4 years, from late 2016 onwards.

Project eARTh runs projects in which the participants work collectively to create artworks – often for the community – installed in public spaces.
