Substantial new dance programme for older people in Yorkshire

One Dance UK, People Dancing and Yorkshire Dance, supported by the National Lottery and Sport England's Active Ageing Fund, are launching a new dance programme across Leeds, Bradford and Doncaster to engage inactive people aged 55 and older in physical activity. The partners will be working with Leeds University to evaluate the project.

Creative Dementia Arts Network conference, Sheffield – 27 June 2017

Museums for Health & Wellbeing conference – 6 March 2017

The National Alliance for Museums, Health and Wellbeing is holding its second conference at the Thackray Medical Museum in Leeds. The programme will feature speakers from the health, social care and museum sectors who will explore the contribution museums can make to health and wellbeing from a range of different perspectives.

The day will offer opportunities for networking and sharing information about museum and wellbeing activities. Delegates can also take part in a range of interactive case study activities in the afternoon.
