CW+ is recruiting for freelance participatory artists and creative practitioners from a range of disciplines for its Arts for All Programme at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, and West Middlesex University Hospital.  The programme provides meaningful cultural opportunities, which offer distraction, entertainment, and social interaction to improve patient experience at the hospitals.

Local artists are encouraged to apply and experience working with a healthcare environment is essential to the role.

Equal Arts are looking for artists with experience and knowledge of gardening in community settings to join their HenPower Project, delivering sessions in the care settings they support.

Initially delivering sessions online, then returning to the gardens of care homes, the organisation is planning projects in the North East, North West and London for freelance artists.

Story competition launched to mark 1971 Bangladesh War of Independence

Toynbee Hall has launched a story competition as part of its activities to mark the 1971 Bangladesh War of Independence and its significance to the local people of Tower Hamlets/City of London.

The competition, being run in collaboration with the Swadhinata Trust and Storyteller Shamim Azad, is accepting story submissions that explore the general theme of “life in 1971, liberation, resistance and home”. The stories can be based on memory, history or completely fictional.
