Paintings in Hospitals recruiting for three roles – deadline 6 June 2021

Leading UK arts in health organisation Paintings in Hospitals is looking for three people to join their team as part of some exciting changes taking place.

  • Communications assistant: The Communications Assistant will play an important role in developing external relationships and boosting the public profile of Paintings in Hospitals. The post-holder will ensure regular communications of our charitable work to stakeholders and the general public via e-newsletters, the website, and social media. Working with the Communications and Development Manager, the Communications Assistant will identify ways of connecting with Paintings in Hospitals’ key audiences and create a range of engaging content.
  • Fundraiser: The Fundraiser will develop a robust strategy for fundraising, prioritising approaches to funders, writing compelling funding applications, leading on appeals and sponsorship initiatives. They will support and develop the in-house income-generating schemes including the Friends membership scheme, the Patrons Circle print initiative, and sales from the gift shop.
  • Freelance commissioner: The Commissioner will enable and support Paintings in Hospitals’ aspirations to engage with social prescribing and the new WHO 2019 agenda using arts to improve health and wellbeing. They will do this through building relationships with NHS Clinical Commissioning Groups and identifying possible funding streams to enable Paintings in Hospitals’ programmes and activities to achieve set financial targets and extend the charity’s reach.
