Age of Creativity - call to arts organisations

Age of Creativity is a new website that aims to bring together the work of leading arts organisations with older people to create a hub for celebrating, sharing and inspiring work in the field of arts and older people. The developers are now calling for submissions in the form of examples of projects or work you have done, or are in the midst of doing with older people.

Celebrating Sanctuary Birmingham is a registered charity (no. 1099536) which works through the arts to raise awareness of the contributions that refugees make to the UK, and in particular to the city of Birmingham. CSB’s events celebrate the UK tradition of offering sanctuary to those fleeing persecution.

Mental Health Foundation, Curators – deadline 6 November

Anxiety 2014 aims to be the highest profile arts and health event in London’s cultural calendar: bringing together cultural institutions, leading artists, health care providers and mental health service user groups. Film London, Community Pilot Fund – deadline 7 November

The Community Pilot Fund supports film exhibition activity in London through National Lottery Funding on behalf of the BFI. The fund has £21,000 for the financial year 2012/13 and will award 5 fixed grants of £3,000.

From Where You Are, Apprenticeships, Liverpool – deadline 12 November

Small Things Dance Collective has been awarded funds to develop their dance and health project From Where You Are, at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, Liverpool. Lisa Dowler and Cath Hawkins have led movement and dance sessions on a variety of wards at the hospital since 2007.

Director of Science Engagement, King’s Cultural Institute, King's College London – deadline 12 November

King’s Cultural Institute (KCI), within King’s College London, is seeking to appoint a Director of Science Engagement, to lead on the development of significant opportunities for this research-led university to explore with the wider public the creative interface between science and arts practice.

Commissions for arts activity 2013-16, Devon County Council – deadline 13 November

Devon County Council is introducing two new commissions for arts activity across the county: one for a programme of performances; and one for a programme of participatory projects. UCH Macmillan Cancer Centre are seeking an experienced facilitator, once a fortnight on Friday afternoons, to lead creative workshops with adults and potentially with young adults / teenagers.

Freelance Project Worker, Age Exchange – deadline 23 November

Age Exchange has been funded by the Guys and St. Thomas’s Charity to deliver a high quality programme of reminiscence and creative activities for older people living with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia. This project is part of a 3 year major creative programme in continuing and specialist care, and in the communities of Southwark and Lambeth.

Arts Council England’s Creative people and places fund opens for round two applications

Earlier this year, the Arts Council announced awards to the first round of its Creative People and Places acheme. The second round will offer funding for projects between £500,000 and £3m over the next three years.

London Councils' grant scheme

Organisations which support homeless people, the unemployed, victims of violence and the voluntary sector are invited to apply for funding from the London Councils grants programme. Applications for two-year grants running from April 2013 can be made by individual organisations or by groups working together or in partnership with boroughs to provide services.

Wintercomfort: Visual Arts workshop assistant (voluntary), Cambridge

Wintercomfort for the Homeless Charity, Cambridge; is looking for a volunteer to help run a visual arts workshop weekly on Wednesdays, 12-2pm. No direct experience necessary, but a good communicator and a passionate creative with a sense of humour and understanding is essential.
