Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge is looking to commission an experienced artist to create a new artwork for its central lift lobby area. The £30,000 commission is open to artists from across the UK working in a range of media.

Joy of Sound Call for Proposals

Joy Of Sound have announced a call for proposals for their Sensorium 2010 event running 29th April – 1st May. Supported by a grant from Lambeth NHS Community Services, the event will allow attendees to experience in the practice of inclusive arts, theatre, dance and music.

Sculpture Commission, Finchley Memorial Hospital

Finchley Memorial Hospital, London first opened in 1908 but will be replaced by a new building, due for completion in 2012, and is looking to commission 3 new sculptures to commemorate the original building in the new hospital garden.

Artist in Residence

The Alexandra Reinheardt Memorial Award is now open for applications to its 2010 residency programme. The residency provides £10,000 to the successful candidate to facilitate 12 full day workshops at The Art Room in Oxford. The Art Room is a charity offering art as therapy to children aged 5-11 to raise their self-esteem, confidence and independence.

Elixir Arts, Project Animateur Wanted

South London Healthcare NHS Trust (SLHT) Elixir Arts are looking to recruit a Project Animateur for their ‘Well Tuned’ music volunteers project. The role is to research music network contacts and encourage musicians to register as volunteers with hospitals within the SLHT. Training for Artists Working with Older People

Westminster Arts are looking to fill six places on their training programme for artists, of any discipline, to work with older people. The first three days are in-house training to include specialist dementia input, health and safety, and presentations from professionals and an artist working with elders followed by six supported half day work placement sessions.

Arts Project Worker

Open Arts, a community based project providing participatory art groups and personal development opportunities for people with mental health problems, is looking to recruit a new Arts Project Worker. The role will involve assisting in seeking funding, helping individual service users and working with local artists and volunteers to set up groups and exhibitions.
