ActionSpace, the visual arts organisation for artists with learning disabilities, has an opening for a general manager to fulfil a fixed term maternity cover contract to support them through the challenging but rewarding months ahead. The successful candidate will share ActionSpace’s vision for artists with learning disabilities to be at the heart of the visual arts sector and manage the implementation of an exciting and innovative programme of work.

St John’s Waterloo have launched Waterloo Well, a programme of creative and wellbeing activities for homeless and vulnerable people, and are looking for an artist to work within a local homelessness centre to set-up and run a creative programme of activities. This programme will be drawn up by the artist themselves in communication with the team at the day-centre who can advise, from their own experiences. At the end of the residency, St John’s Waterloo shall seek to exhibit the collaborative work created by the artist and the centre’s guests at Waterloo Festival 2021

East London dance are holding drop-in sessions for those who would like support with Arts Council England funding applications. The sessions will provide a digital space to come together to chat through applications, ask questions and share advice and expertise to support each other. They are open to people at any stage of the application process, will be hosted via Zoom and will take place on 26 November, 10 December and 21 January.

The Arts & Health Hub is a community of artists and cultural producers interested in or working in the field of arts and health. It runs free monthly peer groups to discuss and further individual's artistic practice. The virtual artist peer group will be an opportunity to hear from two artists about their practice. The peer groups provide the space for artists to share active ideas, projects and challenges, with support from audience participants. The event takes place over Zoom with a break in the middle.

On the first Thursday of the month a contemporary artist featured in the Royal College of Physicians acclaimed exhibition 'Under the skin: anatomy, art and identity', discusses their work, its relationship to the body and wider issues surrounding the representation of the human form in art, medicine and science. On 3 December artist Sofie Layton will join Dr Jo Wray & Dr Giovanni Biglino for a live Q&A. The session will also include an introduction to the exhibition and the college’s remarkable collections by a member of the museum team.

64 Million Artists are returning next year with 31 days of creative challenges. Creative collaborators Lemn Sissay, Yomi Adegoke and Jess Thom will select the 31 ideas from a crowdsourced list. In 2020, 30,000 people took part and over 98% said that it had a positive impact on their wellbeing. Schools, Libraries and Care Settings can sign up to receive a free support pack and larger workplaces can be provided with bespoke support packages.

British artist Ian Davenport is exhibiting a collection of prints and paintings at Addenbrooke’s Hospital. The exhibition is a collaboration between Paintings in Hospitals, the Jerwood Collection, and Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, and has been specifically designed for Addenbrooke’s rehabilitation gymnasiums, to enhance the physiotherapy environment with art that evokes movement and energy.

The Arts & Health Hub is working in partnership with the Royal College of Psychiatrist’s Arts Special Interest Group (ArtSIG) to commission virtual workshops. The three one-hour long workshops are to be delivered in November 2020, January and February 2021 to psychiatrists that are members of the ArtSIG who have a particular interest in how the arts can play a vital role in our health and wellbeing. The opportunity is open to varied arts forms, including visual arts, sound, and dance.
