Culture, Health & Wellbeing Alliance 2020 Awards Gathering – 20 November 2020

Join the Culture, Health and Wellbeing Alliance as they shine a light on the CHWA 2020 Awards shortlisted projects and announce the winners live.

The gathering will showcase the practice and people creating a culture of care for each other, their communities and the world. The awards focus on climate, partnership and practitioner support.

Epic Awards go online

The first ever online Epic Awards will take place on Thursday 22 October at 7pm, to recognise the incredible achievements of volunteer-led creative projects and groups. Twenty-nine shortlisted entries have been put forward for the highly coveted People's Choice Award and winners and runners-up from each of the four main categories (England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales) will be selected by the judging panel.

Shortlist announced for Epic Awards 2020

Twenty-nine projects have been shortlisted for the Epic Awards, which recognise the work of creative volunteers across the UK and Ireland. Judging panels will decide on four winners from England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales, and you can vote for your favourite in the People’s Choice Award until midnight on Sunday 20 September.

Jerwood Art Fund Makers Open 2021 – deadline 26 August 2020

This major award offers five early-career UK-based artists and makers the opportunity to develop and present ambitious new works on a supported, high-profile national platform. It seeks to raise the profile and visibility of making processes within the visual arts and create a space for critical dialogue between the craft and visual arts sectors.

Call for entries for Jerwood/FVU Awards 2022 – deadline 20 July 2020

The Jerwood/FVU Awards 2022 present an opportunity for UK-based moving-image artists in the first five years of developing their professional practice. Jerwood Arts and Film and Video Umbrella invite early-career artists to make proposals for ambitious new works in any form of the moving-image.

Applications for GSK Impact Awards now open

The annual GSK IMPACT Awards return to recognise and reward charities that are doing excellent work to improve people’s health and wellbeing. Up to 20 awards will be made, ranging from £3,000 to £40,000; and the winning organisations will have access to excellent leadership training and development opportunities.

The awards have been running since 1997 and are organised and managed in partnership with The King’s Fund. The deadline for applications is 5pm on Monday 14 September 2020.

Kids in Museums launch wellbeing resource and museum award

To mark Creativity and Wellbeing Week 2020 the charity Kids in Museums launched a new resource that explores how museums can work with children and families to support their wellbeing, focusing on two case studies from Manchester Museum and the Whitworth.

SANE Creative Awards Scheme – deadline extended to 17 July 2020

The SANE Creative Awards Scheme offers up to £300 to people with mental health conditions and their carers to help develop their creative potential. SANE is accepting applications for the visual arts, this includes all forms of painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, mixed media and digital art. The awards might help meet the costs of materials or short courses.

The closing date for this round of awards has been extended to 17 July.

Enter your nominations for the Epic Awards before 31 May 2020

Since 2010, Voluntary Arts has been shining a spotlight on the achievements of creative groups and projects across the UK and Ireland, in the Epic Awards.

The awards celebrate activity during the previous year, and applications are now open until 31 May 2020. This year's ceremony is currently due to take place in central London on 24 September 2020 (dependent on the circumstances).
