Lead Artist: St Oswald's Art Project, Helix Arts, North East – deadline 13 February

Helix Arts works with artists, in partnership with public and voluntary sector organisations, to create opportunities for people to participate in high quality arts activity.

Helix Arts is seeking applications from artists working in any artform to undertake the delivery of St Oswald’s Arts Project, a three-month arts programme delivered in partnership by St Oswald’s Hospice and Helix Arts offering children and young people involved with St Oswald’s the opportunity to explore their creativity.

The Lead Artist should be a skilled participatory arts practitioner with experience of working with people with profound physical and learning disabilities and/or life limiting conditions. The artist will be working with children (aged 0 – 18) and young adults (aged 18 – 25) with life limiting conditions, all of whom have physical and/or learning disabilities, to engage them in 12 two-hour creative workshops. The project will take place from 13 May – 1 August 2013 at St Oswald's Hospice, Newcastle upon Tyne.
