GO Create and the Wellcome Trust present the 'Hands On' Project

For the past year, artist Isobel Manning has been exploring the ritual of hand washing in the hospital environment.

Working across Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH), she has been delivering workshops for patients and their families, investigating why they are encouraged to wash their hands and how this practice limits the spread of infectious diseases. Specifically the project was about how hand washing affects the lives of children who are Hands On @ GOSHpatients at GOSH.

In collaboration with the children, the project has culminated in an animated film that is available to view across the Trust on the patient bedside entertainment system, on the GO Create! web pages w: www.gosh.nhs.uk/about-us/our-priorities/go-create-arts-programme/hands-on/ and on the project blog site w: www.thehandsonproject.blogspot.com
