GLYPT drama programme volunteers, Forest Hill and Woolwich

GLYPT are looking for Volunteer Support Tutors for Whatever Makes You Happy, a drama programme for young people who have or are at risk of developing mental ill health. Young people are referred to the programme by CAMHS, SENCOs, family services and GPs. Co-led by an arts practitioner and a drama therapist, the programme aims to increase self-esteem, social skills and resilience through the arts.

GLYPT is looking for volunteers for the following groups:

Whatever Makes You Happy (age 11-14) - Wednesdays, 3:30-6pm at The Tramshed in Woolwich

Whatever Makes You Happy (age 14-18) - Wednesdays, 5:30-8pm at The Tramshed in Woolwich

Whatever Makes You Happy (age 8-11) - Mondays, 4:30-6.30pm at The Horniman in Forest Hill

Whatever Makes You Happy (age 11-14) – Mondays, 5.30-8pm at The Horniman in Forest Hill

We kindly ask for a minimum commitment of one term, it’s really important to have consistency for the young people but this will also maximise your learning and development. We can contribute up to £10 towards travel costs with receipts.

The roles may appeal to individuals who have an interest in the arts as therapy or those wanting to develop their facilitation skills in workshops with children and young people. We are keen to provide progression opportunities for our volunteers and many have been promoted to paid Support Tutor roles.
