Facing Death Creatively conference – 9 November 2018

This one-day conference at St Christopher's Hospice is themed around art and art therapies in the age of austerity. The keynote speaker will be Chrissie Tiller, one of the UK’s leading participatory arts critical theorists.

"The Arts Team at St Christopher’s are putting on their third ‘Facing Death Creatively’ conference to explore how the arts can be used to make sense of and provide comfort at the end of life and in bereavement. The focus of this year’s conference will be ‘Cutting, Tearing and Slicing: Art and art therapies in the age of austerity’, exploring mixed media approaches to arts in end of life care. Our keynote speaker is one of the UK’s leading participatory arts critical theorists, Chrissie Tiller. There will be opportunities to share creative practice in a variety of disciplines and learn new methods and methodologies. The day will finish with a wine and canapés social hour. There are a limited number of reduced price places for Arts Therapy Students.
