It’s All About Art

The Society for All Artists (SAA) have organised It’s All About Art, a three day art event running from 22nd– 24th July at the Business Design Centre in Islington, London.

Innovation and Outcomes in Health and Social Care

The Royal Society for Public Health with support from the Centre for Public Innovation, has launched a series of six one-day training courses on innovative commissioning in Health and Social Care. Taking placefrom 14th to 30th July in London, the courses will have an outcome based approach focused on measuring the results for the client after they have engaged with a service.

Siobhan Davies Studio Big Dance Weekend

Over Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th July Siobhan Davies Studios, home to Siobhan Davies Dance and the T-Mobile Bi Dance Hub for South London, will provide free dance classes, workshops, performances and art activities.

All activities will be free of charge and open to everyone, including adults, children, beginners and professionals.

REACH and Arts & Health South West Event

REACH and Arts & Health South West have come together for a final learning and dissemination event in Totnes, Devon 10am to 4pm 6th July. The event will present the challenges and achievements of REACH’s projects in Bristol, Devon, Dorset and Somerset involving 18 health, arts and community organisations in partnership working to deliver on key public health priorities.

National Arts in Health Database - deadline this Friday 11th June

 The deadline for inclusion on the new national database for arts in health is this Friday 11th June. To be included, you need to fill in essential details at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/cultureandwellbeing.

Open Forum, Artists' Commission in Health

On 27th May LAHF and arts organisation Matt Roberts Arts will be presenting an open forum for up and coming artists on how to get their work commissioned in the health sector. Taking place at the Matt Roberts Arts gallery on Vyner Street in London, the panel session will include presentations from both commissioners and artists with plenty of opportunity for questions.

Arts, culture and social space: Can Culture Make You Well?

The next LAHF event is an open public discussion bringing together leading artists and practitioners to look at what art has to offer in improving the health of society. Taking place from 11am to 1pm in the Starr Auditorium at Tate Modern on 13th May, Can Culture Make You Well? will look at the issues around the UK’s arts institutions and their impact on health.

In London on 27th April the Independent Theatre Council will present the one day course Creating a Green Action Plan.

Music in Healthcare Settings

Organised by Musique & Santé and Royal Northern College of Music, ‘Music in Health Settings’ is a series of workshops and presentations for musicians working in health settings.

Funding and Delivering Creative Projects

On 24th April, Kidikwa Creative Arts will present a one day workshop in Croydon exploring how to get funding for creative projects. Aimed at Arts Therapists and Creative practitioners, the workshop will include how to set up a voluntary organisation, applying for funding, marketing and publicity and delivering your project.
