Hand Built

On 26th November at 6pm, LAHF will be examining the ‘Hand Built' project, an arts and regeneration project which has been taking place in Camden. The project, co-ordinated by arts organisation Face2Face, brought together pupils from Haverstock Hill School and residents from nearby Charlie Ratchford Centre in both casting their hands and sharing experiences through creative writing. The resulting wall of cast hands, which is now on display at the school, hopes to represent diverse members of a community working together to promote greater understanding and respect between generations. The event will explore the challenges faced by the artists and the impact the project has had on the school and its pupils, as well as drawing on the wider possibilities for arts events to affect social cohesion.

The event is free of charge but places are limited and must be booked in advance. For further information, e: info@lahf.org.uk
