English Arts Festival for Older People

Age of Creativity is developing England’s first arts festival for older people, following in the footsteps of Ireland’s Bealtaine, Scotland’s Luminate and Wales’s Gwanwyn Festivals.

The fortnight long festival in October will encourage organisations from the arts, culture, health and care sectors to work in partnership for the benefit of older people. There will be a FREE conference on 12 October entitled Love Later Life: Creativity and Cultural Participation, speakers include: David Cutler of the Baring Foundation, Darren Henley Head of the Arts Council England and Caroline Abrahams from Age UK. The event will also provide a series of short best practice presentations from across the UK and round table discussions. Book here
