Development and Support Officer, Celebrating Sanctuary, Birmingham – deadline 6 November

Celebrating Sanctuary Birmingham is a registered charity (no. 1099536) which works through the arts to raise awareness of the contributions that refugees make to the UK, and in particular to the city of Birmingham. CSB’s events celebrate the UK tradition of offering sanctuary to those fleeing persecution.

The Development and Support Role will encompass the coordination of the Platforma Regional Hub and a range of work contributing to the development, support and promotion of Celebrating Sanctuary Birmingham, its events (including the Celebrating Sanctuary Festival and Refugee Week 2013) and the musicians it works with. It will involve direct support work with individuals as well as work on promotion and network development.

Freelance contract, Fee: £7,000 (fixed fee)
(Approx. 37 weeks at 2.5 days per week. Hours will be flexible according to the demands of the role. Work will include anti-social hours.)
