Design & Health World Congress – Call for Papers – deadline 15 December
The First Announcement and Call for Papers for the 8th Design & Health World Congress & Exhibition in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia has been published.
Organised by the International Academy for Design & Health in partnership with the Ministry of Health and Public Works Department Malaysia, the congress is also supported by the Malaysian Institute of Architects, the Academy of Medicine of Malaysia - College of Public Health Medicine and the International Islamic University Malaysia.
Taking place at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre in from 27 June -1 July 2012, abstracts on the following themes are invited, with a focus on the Asian, African and Middle Eastern emerging economies.
* The future hospital: creating places and spaces for healing
* Case studies of successful healthy environments
* Salutogenic design for healthy communities/urban planning
* Improving health by design in emerging economies
* Developing international benchmarks in design and health
* Health policy, finance & planning
* Indoor environmental quality to improve health
* New design paradigms influenced by medical technology
* The role of traditional and complementary medicine
