Chain Reaction theatre, Company Assistant

Chain Reaction are looking for a Company Assistant to support their work with theatre, media and music to help disadvantaged young people in deprived areas of London make positive, informed decisions about their lives.

"Educational work is at the heart of what we do and uses the arts to upskill and increase the confidence of disadvantaged young people in deprived areas of London. For 24 years we’ve worked tirelessly to change young people’s lives, engaging over 450,000 young people to date.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone to experience and learn all aspects of running a theatre company and registered charity, learning skills in administration, workshop facilitation, finance, marketing, fundraising, project management, programming, tour booking, policy and workshop facilitation.

As part of a small team, you’ll get to see and understand the work of the entire organisation.

We’re looking for a hardworking, enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join the office team on a part time basis (3 days) assisting the Administrator and Project Manager with planning, delivery and evaluation of our projects.

The position will require someone willing to apply themselves to a range of jobs in the interest of delivering a fantastic, upbeat and energetic programme of creative projects. We are a passionate, fun and lively organisation, looking for someone like minded to join our team.

•Excellent computer skills.
•Passionate about theatre and the arts.
•Experience in or a strong interest in issue based drama facilitation.
•A grasp of the education system and how arts can be used as a tool for educating.
•Excellent organisational skills and the ability to meet targets.
•Have a calm attitude and present problem solving solutions.
•Knowledge of marketing strategies and social media.
•Personable and polite with good communication skills.
