Moving Pieces workshop: Love and Loss – 8 and 9 December 2018

This weekend workshop in Bermondsey will explore creative and embodied ways of sharing experiences of love and loss through body-based work, performance and storytelling.

"In 2017 we premiered Total Eclipse, a performance that we produced following the deaths of our mothers.The show uncovers the depth of emotions that can be felt during the grieving process. We will be sharing how you can use Moving Pieces' integrated approach to share your own personal stories.

GEM Health and Wellbeing Intermediate Course, Bristol – 20 November 2018

This course will provide the opportunity to reflect and explore ways to improve or build upon your health and wellbeing work alongside other colleagues working in the field.  This will include overcoming challenges faced in current programmes, reframing other work to improve the health and wellbeing of museum audiences, and gaining inspiration to set up new projects.

Stories from the Body – 29 October-17 December 2018

This Moving Pieces workshop series is an opportunity to connect to your own body, using mask work, improvisation, guided visualisation and performance. This offer will be of interest to performers, mental health professionals and anyone simply wanting to explore personal story in an embodied and creative way. Over eight weekly sessions, the workshops will focus on stories that emerge from the body and take this into the creation of a personal mask  which will be unique to each participant. 

No previous experience in theatre is required. 

Trinity Laban/MU Teachers Professional Development Weekend – 27-28 October 2018

Designed for music education specialists, arts practitioners and teachers the weekend is an opportunity to meet, share skills and practice and includes health related sessions on music in dementia settings, building mental health resilience and inclusive music making.

Taking place in the Laban Building in Deptford, expect fascinating debates, dynamic workshops and valuable 1-1 surgeries, all while making music and networking with colleagues from across the UK.
