Professional Development, Create Your Own Work - 22-23 March 2019

Two days of workshops and the first day will focus on Vision into Action This course will include: Creative visioning and action planning, looking at the practical steps for creating work, applying for funding and how to market your project This will be an enjoyable, experiential and practical day, where you will explore ways of using your artistic and therapeutic skills to design and deliver exciting and creative projects.

Beyond Resilience: Co-designing Our Creative Futures, The Culture Capital Exchange - 14 March

 This forum held at The Bluecoat, Liverpool will be a highly participative day of workshops, discussions and peer-to-peer sessions focused on organisational and personal resilience as well as resilience in the wider world.

ICAPT Arts Therapies Skills in Dementia Care, CNWL NHS Foundation Trust - 3 April 2019

This learning experience will give an insight into the process and understanding of arts therapy to enable a fuller arts engagement with people who have a diagnosis of dementia. The day will outline dementia and arts therapy and look at how arts therapy communication can inform engagement and emotional understanding.

Read Write Express Writing for Wellbeing workshops – 8 February-11 May 2019

Using a combination of short writing exercises with breathing spaces and written, visual and tactile resources, participants will explore the elemental themes of “Earth” and “Water”, "Fire & Light" and "Air" as a means of improve wellbeing and self awareness.

Move Dance Feel weekly sessions, London – until 28 March 2019

Move Dance Feel is offering free weekly dance sessions for women affected by cancer (including those who are supporting someone with cancer). The project has been running since 2016 and is currently located in three Cancer Support Centres in East, Central and South West London. Dance in this context has shown to improve participants physical, mental and emotional wellbeing, and offers a means of group support both during and after cancer treatment. 
 
Sessions resume in the week commencing 14th January and run for 10 weeks on the following days:

Neurodiversity event, Freespace Gallery – 31 January 2019

An Inclusive Arts Practice MA student has been collaborating with 8 research participants over 7 weeks to answer her research question ‘How should we interpret and curate the history of labelling people with learning difficulties (neurodiversity)?' During the event Freespace Gallery will be showcasing the artwork made collaboratively through the project.

There will also be an opportunity to take part in a creative activity.

Love and loss weekend workshop, London Bridge – 26-27 January 2019

This Moving Pieces workshop will explore creative, embodied ways of sharing and processing grief and bereavement.

"You may be interested in how theatre and performance can be used to understand grief and help manage emotions, or want to experiment with telling your experiences of death and loss in a creative way. This short course will build your skills in a sensitive, relaxed and perhaps surprisingly uplifting weekend all about death, creativity and communicating our feelings to others."

Reminiscence Arts in Dementia Care, Creating a Community – 17 January 2019

The seminar will immerse participants in experiential workshops and presentations showcasing the Reminiscence Arts model delivered by Age Exchange’s experienced team. The day will enable participants to explore different approaches to working with: narrative, embodied and sense memory in dementia care, trying out activities designed for groups and as one to one.
