Researchers from the Loneliness and Social Isolation in Mental Health Research Network, the Closing the Gap Network and the MARCH Network are coming together for a webinar to impart what they have learnt about loneliness in the UK during the pandemic, based on their latest, separate studies.

April Artist Peer Group – 26 April 2021

The Arts & Health Hub is a community of artists and cultural producers interested in or working in the field of arts and health. It runs free monthly peer groups to discuss and further individual's artistic practice.

The virtual artist peer group provides an opportunity to hear from two artists about their practice. The peer groups provide the space for artists to share active ideas, projects and challenges, with support from audience participants.

Ealing Arts and Health Alliance – 19 May 2021

Ealing Arts and Health Alliance aims to harness the positive effects that the arts have on health and wellbeing and create a space where impactful local projects and partnerships can be launched. The alliance meets every two months and welcomes anyone in Ealing working in the arts and health sectors or with children and young people. Social prescribing is the theme for May’s meeting.

Participants are asked to fill out a short expression of interest form in advance of the meeting.

Artists’ Coffee Morning – Music and Dementia – 20 April 2021

Artist Jenny Hibberd, music tutor James Sykes and programmer Andrew Johnston, creators of the Silent Orchestra project, will join City Arts for an online presentation and discussion on the theme of Music and Dementia. Inspired by a series of workshops with care home residents, the team created a set of multi-sensory musical instruments for people living with dementia. They will be joined by Professor Tom Dening.

Global Social Prescribing Alliance Launch – 26 February 2021

The Global Social Prescribing Alliance is a group of stakeholders active worldwide in the implementation of UN Sustainable Development Goal 3. Their vision is to enable thriving communities to deliver a social revolution for their health and wellbeing while generating value. The Alliance aims to establish a global working group dedicated to the advancement of social prescribing through promotion, collaboration and innovation.

The Singing for Health Network is launching with a free introduction webinar to share its intentions and consult further on how it can best support the sector. The network aims to support the Singing for Health movement through supporting opportunities for sharing and consolidating intelligence and resources. It seeks to provide a bridge between research and practice, making research accessible and useful to practitioners.

Yes, Cultural Arts - You shall go to the Ball – 27 January 2021

Are you a cultural practitioner who feels a little like 'Cinderella' when it comes to social prescribing or a link worker who would like to know more about offering arts and creativity to the people you work with?  London Plus and London Action Arts and Health are holding a webinar which aims to bring together voluntary organisations and link workers in London. The event will share the work going on in the capital to encourage partnerships, explore some brilliant case studies, and encourage matchmaking between organisations and individuals at a borough level.
