Call for entries, Here and Now exhibition, Nottingham – deadline 3 April 2017

The City Arts exhibition will be held at the Institute of Mental Health, Nottingham, between May and September.

City Arts say: “Our reality is a succession of unique moments, each moment impacting on our well-being.  Our annual exhibition at the Institute of Mental Health is an opportunity for artists to express through art how they are experiencing and reacting to each of those moments”.

Art work must be delivered by 26 April 2017.

Applications to join the VCSE Health and Wellbeing Alliance 2017-18

The Department of Health has published an information pack for voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector organisations considering joining the alliance, prepared by the Department of Health Voluntary Sector Engagement Team in partnership with NHS England and Public Health England.

The new VCSE Health and Wellbeing Programme will seek to achieve its objectives through two co-dependent funded mechanisms:

Call for case studies from Dementia-Friendly Heritage Group – deadline 30 April 2017

The Group is calling for case studies to be included in the ‘dementia-friendly heritage guide’, to be published in autumn 2017. All case studies that illustrate dementia-friendly heritage initiatives are welcome.

The Dementia-Friendly Heritage Group is a peer network working collaboratively to create a resource that will inspire and support heritage sector staff and volunteers to make their sites more dementia-friendly.

Call for over-60s performers for Sadler’s Wells’ Elixir Festival – deadline 28 February 2017

Sadler’s Wells is inviting applications from over-60s groups across the country to perform in Elixir Extracts, part of Elixir Festival 2017. 

It is looking for a diverse range of dance works of approximately 5-8 minutes in length, to be performed in the Lilian Baylis Studio on 24 & 25 June.

Celebrating lifelong creativity and the contribution of older artists, the Elixir Festival was set up in 2014 to challenge assumptions about what older people can do, throw a spotlight on the diversity of dance practice and raise questions about what is next for the sector.
