Can I Help You? Playing ON – until 21 March 2020

Examining how race, gender and profession intersect with issues of mental health, Playing ON are presenting the world premiere of their late co-founder Philip Osment’s final play, Can I Help You? at Omnibus Theatre.

An English policeman is about to throw himself off Beachy Head when he is met by a Ghanaian woman; together they learn what it truly means to be touched by the magic of hope. Playing ON combines professional theatre with socially engaged practise and this uplifting and poetic production is drawn from their community mental health programmes. It is partly inspired by characters created by service users and clinicians, as well as interviews with members of the Ghanaian community.
