Big Change series: place, children and young people – 20 November 2018

Big Change Series #2: THINK

The Big Change is a series of free events for London’s cultural sector. This session will consider the role of place and strategic partnerships across London in children and young people’s outcomes and development.

where: Museum of London (Terrace Gallery), 150 London Wall, EC2Y 5HN

when: Tuesday, 20 November 2018 from 15:00 to 18:30 (GMT)

The event will feature:

Creative People and Places
Helen Willmott, Programme Director of Made in Corby, one of the Creative People and Places programmes, will share how they work in partnership with the local community to co-create exciting new arts activities for the town. Over the last 4 years Made in Corby has enabled over 93,000 engagements with arts activities.

Rethinking the practice of community engagement within partnerships
Drawing on the learning from the first phase of the Creative People and Places programme (2013-2016), this session will use visual stimuli and creative tools to consider the question: what if we were to approach our community engagement work in the same way as we approach our partnership work?

The Young Challenge Group: Investing in place and partnerships
The Young Challenge Group are A New Direction’s Advisory Group for our Challenge London partnership investment programme. They have produced responses and provocations around the six challenge investment themes for discussion.
