Beyond Limits, Crossing Borders – 22-24 April 2016

Stirling University’s Dementia Centre is running a free residential weekend for artists interested in responding to dementia. The weekend will take place in Derry/Londonderry and some expenses will be covered.

The aim of the weekend is to offer participants a chance to explore their own creative practice as individuals and also to provide a collaborative and stimulating environment which supports new work. The hope is that it will also offer ways of connecting work to the public in the following months across the UK.

To be involved, artists need to apply. The organisers hope the idea will appeal to artists who perhaps have already engaged with ageing and dementia through their creative work. But equally it is for artists who are simply open to responding to dementia in some way as a creative stimulus for new work; artists who simply want space to reflect and go with the flow.
