Adult Music Educator – deadline 22 December 2017

Sound Minds is seeking a part time musician to work with people who have experienced mental health setbacks.

Working one to one with service users, the right candidate will:

  • Be available on Tuesdays (daytime) for at least a year
  • Have solid experience teaching or leading in music making with disadvantaged groups, preferably in the voluntary sector
  • Be able to play bass, keyboard and guitar, one instrument to a good standard
  • Have good knowledge of DAWs (preferably Propellerheads ‘Reason’) and basic recording techniques
  • References that demonstrate a patient approach, respectful of the creative directions of learners
