Linking with commissioners

LAHF is planning some research into the barriers, challenges and incentives facing commissioners looking to work with the arts and we are keen to hear from you! We are looking for connections with commissioners (be they from PCTs, Local Authorities, GPs or Acute Settings) in order to find out first hand how we can help improve the opportunities for arts activity to be commissioned in health.

London Creativity and Wellbeing Week 13-20 June 2012

We are delighted to announce a new initiative, the London Creativity and Wellbeing Week 2012. This will take place from 13-20 June, this summer, and promises to be a great showcase for the huge variety and power of arts and health activity in the capital.

LAHF is pleased to announce a new project which will be running for the next year. Fidget is an interactive tour which will explore the truth about sedentary behaviour and the science behind sitting.

We are recruiting!

In 2012, LAHF is expanding its staff team and firstly we are looking to recruit a Marketing and Development Associate to join the organisation from February to support the Director in raising the profile of LAHF’s work and developing strategic opportunities for the organisation as it joins Arts Council England’s National Portfolio.

National Alliance for Arts Health and Wellbeing – a charter for arts and health

Over the past year, regional organisations from across the country have been working together to establish a new National Alliance for arts, health and wellbeing.

Creativity in the community - 2 February 2012

London Arts and Health Forum, in partnership with Arts Council England, are hosting a learning and networking event on 2 February 2012 from 10am-1pm at Arts Council England, 14 Great Peter Street, London, SW1P 3NQ.

New website

We've been making changes to the LAHF website and there will be more going on over the next few months, including a blog, more of your images (thank you to all of you who have sent them in) and other content.  This is a work in progress at present so do let us know what you think! 

Additions to LAHF’s team

Two new freelance Associates will be working with Director Damian Hebron during the coming year.  Karen Taylor, who most recently developed and ran Be Creative Be Well as part of the Well London programme on behalf of Arts Council England, will be working as Engagement and Participation Associate, and Emma Bonsall, who has been working for LAHF on an ad hoc basis for more than a year will be C
