London Creativity and Wellbeing Week 2013

Planning has begun for the next London Creativity and Wellbeing Week to take place next June. Building on the success of the first ever Creativity and Wellbeing Week earlier this year, LAHF has begun preparing for next year.

Fidget

LAHF’s interactive engagement project Fidget has just finished its tour in Newcastle. Over the past six weeks, our pop up art installation and enthusiastic team have taken public health information about active lifestyles and sedentary behaviour to audiences of over 10,000 people in festivals, city centres, colleges and seafronts.

London Creativity and Wellbeing Week ran from 13–20 June and attracted hundreds of people to a range of events across the capital. LAHF would like to say a huge thank you to all who took part, whether by organising events or going to them!

Fidget

LAHF’s interactive project about the impact sedentary lifestyles can have on health and wellbeing is now on tour.

National Alliance for Arts Health and Wellbeing (England)

For the past couple of years, LAHF has been working with partners across the country to develop a national voice for arts and health. This is due to launch in the autumn and a dedicated media campaign is being planned to coincide with this aiming to demonstrate leading arts and health projects and their impact on patients and the public.

Front of House team needed for Clod Ensemble’s Swing Night

Swing Night is the culmination of an exciting intergenerational dance project involving school children, senior citizens and the general public. Presented as part of Clod Ensemble’s Extravagant Acts for Mature People, a sensational programme of free arts events for over 65's.

London Creativity and Wellbeing Week – 13 to 20 June 2012

The deadline for submitting events has now passed and the full exciting programme of events is now available on the website – and you’ll be hearing much more about this (and all the organisations and events involved) from us over the next couple of weeks. We’ll also be adding some new tools, including a calendar, to make it easier to find the events you’ll want to see.

LAHF is now recruiting interlocutors to tour with this summer’s pop up arts installation Fidget.

Linking with commissioners

LAHF is planning some research into the barriers, challenges and incentives facing commissioners looking to work with the arts and we are keen to hear from you! We are looking for connections with commissioners (be they from PCTs, Local Authorities, GPs or Acute Settings) in order to find out first hand how we can help improve the opportunities for arts activity to be commissioned in health.
