Creativity and Wellbeing 2018

Following the success of this year’s Creativity and Wellbeing festival we are pleased to announce the dates for next year’s celebration of health and creativity. The week will take place from 4th to 10th June 2018 and we expect it to be bigger than ever. This year, there were over 330 events with more than 35,000 people attending - so start planning for 2018 now!

LAHF would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone involved in this year's Creativity and Wellbeing Week. The festival was the biggest yet and we are still recovering! An estimated 35,000 people attended different events right across London and beyond!

Training for clinicians – 21 September 2017

LAHF is offering a short introductory course for doctors, allied health professionals and nurses interested in learning more about the potential of the arts to impact on health.

How important are the arts to healthy ageing? – 15 June 2017

If you work with older people or are interested in how the arts can maintain good health in later life, come along to our partnership event with RADA on Thursday 15 June at which we’ll be hosting an informative panel discussion on arts and ageing.

After a second sold-out Connect event last year, we’re pleased to announce that we will be holding another networking opportunity in partnership with Paintings in Hospitals.

For Creativity and Wellbeing Week 2017, LAHF is exploring how the arts and creativity can have a considerable role in enhancing our health and wellbeing throughout the life course. With the resources, support and buy-in from key decision makers, the arts can realise their potential to generate wellbeing, improve our health and social care services, and create a healthy, more equal society.

Chair, London Arts in Health Forum – deadline 5 April 2017

London Arts in Health Forum is recruiting a Chair for its Board of Trustees. This voluntary post is a senior leadership role in the field of arts in health and the organisation is seeking a visionary candidate with the personality and capacity to head the organisation at an exciting time in its development.

Everyday Creativity - January Challenge

LAHF is supporting the campaign organised by arts organisation 64 million artists to get people trying out creative activities every day in January. LAHF staff and trustees are signing up and we hope that as many people working in arts and health will join the challenge.

Creativity and Wellbeing 2017

Next year will see the sixth annual festival of arts and health Creativity and Wellbeing Week. The week will take place from 12th-18th June with events in London and further afield. Plans are developing for the festival and we would like to encourage organisations to start thinking about how they will be involved.

LAHF is recruiting a Festival Co-ordinator to support the delivery of next year’s Creativity and Wellbeing Week.

Creativity and Wellbeing festival complete

The fifth Creativity and Wellbeing festival was the biggest and best yet with over 200 events and thousands of participants. Plans are now being developed for 2017 when Creativity and Wellbeing will take place from 12-18 June - start planning your events now!

Annual survey

Every year we survey our subscribers to get your views on the newsletter, on LAHF’s work and also on the general state of arts and health. This is a really important tool for us in responding to feedback and in campaigning on behalf of those working in the field.
